The project is located in Payas/Hatay. The goal was to renovate the old Kulliye (a complex of buildings associated with Ottoman architecture) which was a very important building at the time when Silk Road was still in use. The main idea was to make minimum contact with the Kulliye to keep it "as is", and also give it a modern feeling by creating a contrast between old and new. Another aim was to keep the Kulliye open to public even when the shops are closed. As a result shipping containers in different colors were used to easily convert the place.
