The project is located in Sishane, Taksim, a district with heavy car and pedestrian traffic. Besides that the area is full of historical buildings. It was really important to be respectful to the historical environment. Great effort was shown designwise not to block the historical buildings visually.

 

One of the main goals was to call attention to the historical buildings by creating a contrast between modern and traditional. Also since the site has a great potential of the Bosphorus view, the rooms had to be positioned in a way to benefit from the view as much as possible. The design was formed by these concerns and design criterias.
